I’m amazed at how much time goes by when you’re just out there touring around. After work I suited up and rode to Jackson’s Point on the south end of Lake Simcoe. Another great early evening for motorcycling. As anyone who rides will tell you there’s very little time for mind wandering. Never the less my thoughts wandered to my Mom and thinking about how much I miss her. I often have the sense that she's not too far away.
Tonight is the Relay For Life. All across Ontario communities are joining together to walk all night long to raise money for Cancer research. I passed a walk site tonight and felt good when I saw all the tents all set up for all these people who are doing what they can to make a difference. It’s great. My friend Craig is hosting the event in Unionville. He’s one of these guys that gets it… what REALLY matters. Craig sent the photo at the top of this blog. He did that and it’s a great thing. She’s truly never gone because so many remember her.
The Strom’s tucked in for the night. I’m off to meet Craig at the event for a little while to deliver a cup of Tea and whatever else he’d like. I hope you have a friend like Craig.
